Misconceptions About The Church of Christ
The Lord's church has often been mischaracterized, redefined, and even slandered by her opponents. In the first century, some Jews came to study with Paul who was currently under house arrest. They spoke about the church of Christ this way, "But we desire to hear from you what you think; for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere" (Acts 28:22). Some things never change. The Lord's church continues to be spoken against everywhere and such is fitting due to the nature of truth and error. Truth has nothing in common with error any more than light has communion with darkness. Below are some lessons answering some of the misconceptions about the church of Christ pertaining to:
Is the church of Christ a denomination?
Did the church of Christ begin in the restoration movement?
Does the church of Christ have music?
Does the church of Christ believe in the Old Testament?
Does the church of Christ believe in the Holy Spirit?
Does the church of Christ teach water salvation?
Is the Church of Christ a Denomination?
